Can’t Remember Anything about Inputting a Passcode for My Backup in iTunes

I’m trying to restore my old iPhone with my new one. Old phone is off and backed up to iCloud and computer.  When I plug in the new phone to iTunes and planned to restore the new phone with the old phone backup, it has an error message said restore is not available because the backup is locked with a passcode. If I do not remember anything about inputting a passcode for my backup, is there a way to recover my iTunes backup password?

Is It Possible to Restore Password Encrypted Backup Files from iTunes?

Trick 2: Log off iTunes and Login Again

1: Disconnect your iPhone from the computer (Pulling up USB cable and plugging it in again)

2: Sign out of your iTunes account in your computer

3: Connect your iPhone again back to your computer with a USB cable

4: Sign in iTunes again with your iTunes account and passcode

Now check whether iTunes will ask you to enter the password or not. If not, then you are lucky, this worked for you!
